While cutting veggies to make goulash and scrambled eggs, I cut around the top of the red pepper... oddly, its the first time I've ever cut it that way, like a Halloween pumpkin, removing the top in one piece. Usually I just slice it down the middle, but for some reason not today. I pulled the center section out and saw this. I had to laugh. Looks like a thumb, extended, waiting to hitch a ride.
It was going to grow into another pepper. I've had that with tomatoes a lot, particularly my home grown ones, but never a pepper.
